HLTAID009      Provide   Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to perform CPR in line with the Australian Resuscitation Councils (ARCs) Guidelines. 

Who requires training:

• all persons who may be required to provide CPR in a range of settings, including community and workplace settings.

Delivery method:

• Blended pre-course online training, then face-to-face assessment.

​Course content:

• Respond to an emergency situation
• Perform CPR procedures, including how to use and Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Communicate details of the incident
• Evaluate the incident and own performance 

Course options:

• Express (30-60 minutes*) -  If you are trained regularly, check out our express course to refresh your skills.​​​
• Standard (3 hours) -  If you haven't received training in the past 12 months, the standard course will be your best choice however we do not offer this course type.

fIRST AID - $125

​includes cpr * (nb THIS IS A COMPULSORY PART OF THIS QUALIFICATION)

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
​
Who requires training:

• all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of settings, including community and workplace settings.

​Delivery method:

• Blended pre-course online training, then face-to-face assessment.

Course content:

• Respond to an emergency situation
• Apply appropriate first aid procedures
• Coordinate first aid activities until arrival of medical assistance
• Communicate details of the incident
• Evaluate the incident and own performance

• Asthma Management (Ventolin Inhaler) and Anaphylaxis Management (Adrenaline Epi-Pen)

Course options:

• Express (1-2 hours*) -  If you are trained regularly, check out our express course to refresh your skills.​​
• Standard (8 hours) -  If you haven't received training in the past 12 months, the standard course will be your best choice however we do not offer this course type.

cHILD CARE FIRST AID  -  $135

​Provide  first aid  in  an  education  and  care setting
includes cPR  & first aid * (nb THese are COMPULSORY PARTs OF THIS course)

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

Who requires training:
​Workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthma and anaphylactic emergencies. This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school age children in outside school hours and vacation programs.

• Blended pre-course online training, then face-to-face assessment.

Course content:

• Respond to an emergency situation
• Apply appropriate first aid procedures
• Communicate details of the incident
• Evaluate the incident and own performance
• Asthma Management (Ventolin Inhaler) and Anaphylaxis Management (Adrenaline Epi-Pen)
